Screening Process

Screening is a process used to determine a job applicant’s qualifications and potential job fit for a position to which they have applied. The screening process may include a variety of elements such as:

• job screening questions within the employment application
• pre-employment testing using cognitive, behavioral and/or skills-based assessments
• candidate interviewing–including phone screens, video interviews, and in-person interviews
• reference checking

ExactHire applicant tracking software (ATS) provides features that complement the screening process elements mentioned above. Within our applicant tracking system, scoring and disqualification filters may be used on both standard and job-specific application screening questions. This allows recruiters and human resource professionals to focus more time on the candidates that meet basic minimum qualifications and achieve a desirable screening score.

Our ATS also integrates with a handful of different hiring assessment tools so that additional information can be gathered about applicants. This can be done either at the point of application or later in the hiring process via an email invitation. Employee assessments embedded into the employment application can help pre-qualify applicants for specific jobs.

When it comes to candidate interviewing, our software includes web-based surveys that may be customized to capture information gathered during the candidate screening process.  Authorized users  an access completed surveys by simply viewing the applicant record.
